Temple Talk.

Temple Talk is the official newsletter of Temple Israel and a means for the congregation to keep abreast of activities and events. It includes a monthly calendar of scheduled activities for easy reference, information about birthdays, yahrzeits, and other important dates for members of the community. Also, the newsletter provides news about Board decisions, sisterhood plans, and any special programs. The Temple Talk is available to members online and in paper copy for those who are unable to access the online version.

Our Mission.

The mission of Temple Israel is to be a Jewish presence in the Ozarks by serving as a spiritual, educational, and cultural center for all Jews and their families.  Affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), we are an inclusive congregation that welcomes Jews from all backgrounds to join us in our proud affirmation of Judaism and the Jewish people.  In support of our mission we provide communal worship services and holiday observances, celebrate the life cycle events, engage in the study of Torah, participate in social action, and offer a wide variety of cultural and social programming.

We deepen relationships to Judaism and our community by engaging the soul, heart, and mind.

Temple Israel welcomes the entire spectrum of our Jewish community: people of all ages, races, and abilities; interfaith families; and people who are single, partnered, straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. As a vibrant center of learning, we enable each member to reflect the holy.
