At Temple Israel, of Springfield, Missouri we strive to impact the local community in an engaging and meaningful manner. Through our affiliation with the Union for Reform Judaism we educate our members and the community about our Jewish culture, heritage and language.

Our history goes back over 100 years living in the Ozarks. Many things have changed since the start, but our dedicated faith remains the same.
Since the 1800s Temple Israel has made an impact in the local community. Families, people, and places have came and gone…but our congregation remains.
At Temple Israel we have a variety of programs, events and groups intended to strengthen our bonds with the congregation, community and ourselves. From Sisterhood to Adult Education, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
The mission of Temple Israel Religious School is to foster Jewish identity. Children who enroll in the Religious School join a community of Jewish peers. While in the school, the children learn the knowledge and skills they need in order to participate in the Jewish life of Temple Israel and elsewhere.
We are highly involved in the local community. We volunteer our time to charitable and high-impact organizations that make a difference in the Springfield metro area.
The Sisterhood of Temple Israel is a group of diverse women welcoming and bonding with other women through programming and social activities. We strengthen our synagogue and the community through support and outreach.
